How much love does fit in a shoebox? 2022

Hello myhive community,

Do you feel it? The smell of oranges, cinnamon and mulled wine - Christmas is coming!
With Christmas, it is also time to open our hearts and help people in need.

Every year more and more retired seniors spend Christmas time alone in retirement homes instead of being with their families.
That is why we at myhive would like to continue with the tradition of joining nationwide collection
How much love does fit into a shoe box? And we definitely need your help!

Collection of Christmas presents will take place from 23rd November until 5th December 2022

If you would like to make some lonely seniors happy during Christmas time, all you need to do is fill a shoe box as a Christmas present and bring it to our Welcome Desks at both Towers of myhive Vajnorská  from 9am until 5pm

Please be aware that the box should have top and bottom wrapped separately, so that we can check each and every box before giving it to the elderly.
Please do not put any ribbons/bows, it makes it difficult for us to manipulate and store the presents.

Please mark the box if it is filled with items for grandma or grandpa and stuff it with at least one item of each following category:
  1. Clothes: scarf, shawl, hat, slippers, gloves, socks, stockings, etc.
  2. Cosmetics: soaps, shower gels, shampoos, disinfectants, cremes, shaving foam, etc.
  3. Instant drinks: tea, hot chocolate, coffee, etc.
  4. Sweets: gingerbread cookies, candies, chocolates, etc.
  5. Something salty: chips, crackers, etc.
  6. Something for spare time: books, crossword puzzles, sudoku, chess, cards, etc.
  7. Something from your heart: Christmas wish, mug, etc.

What not to give as a present?
Before the delivery of Christmas presents to the seniors all presents will be checked. The retirement homes asked to do so because of security reasons but also not to give the elderly people some useless things.
That is why we ask you not to pack:
  1. Expired food!
  2. Alcohol
  3. Clearly worn clothes
  4. Used/half empty cosmetic
  5. Candles
  6. Medication
  7. Sharp objects (such as knives, scissors, etc.)
  8. Knick-knacks (such as statuettes, office supplies, etc.)

I would like to thank all beforehand for all your kindness.
Gifts will go to elderly people in Bratislava region.
