On November 14, 2019, our Expert Breakfast with KICK OFF had a very exciting topic in store: Narcissism in organizations - Me and my grandiosity.
Narcissism occurs not only in relationships but also in everyday life and is a widespread phenomenon. Character traits such as egocentricity, sensitivity, lack of empathy, devaluation of others as well as competitive search or the need for recognition and breaking rules are typical for a narcissistic person. In dealing with such people it helps to mirror them, to ask direct questions, to choose other perspectives or - if not otherwise possible - to distance oneself.
Dagmar Grafeneder, management consultant at KICK OFF Management Consulting GmbH, knows that strategies for dealing with narcissists are important in everyday professional life. So that one does not despair at narcissistic colleagues or superiors, she gave insights into the narcissistic personality disorder and practicable courses of action for the everyday life.
Rich breakfast rounded off the exciting morning in the feel-good atmosphere of the myhive Lounge. Nearly 40 participants from 12 different companies informed themselves about this current topic before continuing their daily work.
