A life without poetry? Not at the myhive Átrium Park in Budapest where the poems are integrated in a very creative manner.
Modern men show emotion – and some also have a poetic streak. The appreciation of language and its tremendous expressiveness is timeless and inspires every generation anew.
But does this sensitiveness also go with the "tough" routine of business?
"Yes, of course," says Márton Nagy, employee of the credit insurance company Coface in myhive Átrium Park in Budapest. "Because a holistic view of human beings not only sees the manpower of every person, but also the individual personality. It is precisely this diversity of interests that also makes us strong in business: from the violinist to the marathon runner and from the bird expert to a person like me who loves poetry almost more than anything else.
When the myhive Community Manager Jeno Nicak heard of Márton's interest, she immediately contacted him, "A financial expert who loves poems – I thought that was so exciting that I decided the community at the location had to hear about it." She got in touch with him and in less than half an hour a very special project was created: since then the elevators in myhive Átrium Park have been decorated with poems. Where the naked walls of elevators used to be clean but not particularly eye-catching, there is quite a lot to read now: from Old Hungarian epic poems to completely new contemporary creations "à la Márton", since the young literary figure is also a gifted wordsmith.
"myhive has enabled me to reach the community with my art. I consider that to be a unique opportunity," Márton is pleased to say. "Again and again I am approached by a wide variety of colleagues, and I have been able to make new friends."
Jeno Nicak also sees the project on a higher level: "At myhive everything revolves around cooperation and what we can do to further the success of our tenants. These companies, from global corporations to small local players, all value our services. myhive always sees the person first and not his or her functions. With Márton's innovative poetry project, we are showing very clearly how a business park can also be highly innovative today."
And poet Márton adds tongue in cheek, "Literature is also supposed to elevate us - and that's why I find it particularly funny and fitting that poems can now be found in the elevators of all places."
